We said goodbye to our friend Judy and picked up a rental car. We headed back to Disney Springs to pick up a few items. Then we had lunch at Art Smith’s Homecoming. It was amazing. We certainly ate well in this trip but with all the walking I think we kept the pounds off.
Now off to Jacksonville for a visit with our son and his wife for a few days before heading back home to Seattle.
We went back to Magic Kingdom and got to ride Peter Pan’s Flight. We had not seen the new queue before and really enjoyed it.
Wandered and enjoyed attractions until it was time for our lunch at Be Our Guest. After a wonderful lunch we explored the other dining rooms. By the way the grey stuff was delicious.
Then we hopped over to Epcot to finish our tasting journey and go back to a few favorite booths. We rode Frozen. I miss the old Maelstrom attraction. Robb got his turkey leg and despite wanting to see the new nighttime show at Epcot we called it an early night.
After Hollywood Studios we went back and did some laundry and took a nap. We met up with Judy and wandered through Animal Kingdom between the rain drops.
We explored Pandora and rode the Na’vi River Journey. We enjoyed an amazing dinner at Yak and Yeti. Then it was time for our Fastpass for Avatar. First time for all three of us and it was amazing. We had fastpasses for the River of Light but decided to call it a night.
This morning started with extra extra magic hours in Hollywood Studios. Up and on the bus by 5:00!! In the park and in Galaxy’s Edge by 6:15. Hopped onto the Millenium Falcon and we got pilot the ship.
We headed to Toy Story Land and were able to ride Toy Story Mania and the Alien Saucers in no time.
After a snack we got to meet my fashion idol Edna Mode. Even got a private tour of her studios as we were first in line.
After a few days in South Florida we headed to Walt Disney World. Hubby has not been there in almost 10 years and it’s been 3 for me. We met up with our friend Judy and had dinner in Disney Springs then some shopping. Actually a lot if pre-shopping since we didn’t want to buy to much before we visited the parks.
We are off again but this time on separate adventures. Jennifer is off in an Adventure by Disney to Japan with WDW Radio. Ida is in Florida with her husband visiting family and friends and currently heading to Walt Disney World!
Strange not adventuring together but there is twice as much to share this month!
Adventures are always filled with good food. Here’s a smiling pretzel from The Ale House in Davie FL.
Our decorating theme this year was Aladdin. Coincidentally that was the theme for the Friday night event. We spent Friday putting up decorations and visiting with friends. Then the first event was a D23 mixer with special guest Captain Marvel!
Then up to our room for a quick costume change and joined the fun at trivia and other games.
And finally the room decorations were ready. One of the best parts of the weekend is visiting all the rooms.
Here’s our room with the genie and magic carpets over Agrabah. We had photo props for visitors to take pics in front of the magic carpet.
Here are some of the other rooms. Winners announced during the MouseMeet. We will keep you posted.
